This policy concerns personal information. It does not replace our Terms & Conditions, Shipping & Delivery or Returns & Refunds policies. Visiting our website does not, by itself, constitute consent to unrelated marketing or every use of personal information described here. Where consent is required, we will seek it separately.

1 Personal information we collect

Depending on your interactions with us, we may collect your name, email address, telephone number, billing and delivery addresses, order contents, transaction status, purchase and return history, delivery instructions, account details and preferences.

We may also collect messages, photographs and other information you provide when requesting support or making a complaint. Please avoid sending sensitive information that is not needed to resolve your enquiry.

Technical information may include your IP address, device and browser details, cookie identifiers, pages viewed, shopping activity and interaction with emails, depending on the tools in use and your settings.

Payment information is processed by our checkout payment providers. Information available to us may include payment status, payment method and limited card details. Please do not email us full payment card details or account passwords.

2 How we collect information

We collect information directly from you through checkout, account features, forms, subscriptions and correspondence. We also receive relevant information from Shopify, payment providers, delivery carriers and suppliers involved in fulfilling your order.

Cookies and similar technologies may collect information automatically when you interact with our store. The information collected depends on the services enabled and your privacy choices.

You can browse without providing your name. However, we need sufficient contact, payment and delivery information to process an order. If required information is not provided, we may be unable to complete your purchase or assist with a request.

3 How we use information

We use personal information to process payments; fulfil and deliver orders; provide tracking; handle returns, refunds and enquiries; maintain customer accounts where available; prevent fraud; secure and improve our store; keep business records; and comply with legal obligations.

Where relevant features are enabled, we may use shopping activity and preferences to recommend products, measure website performance and assess advertising effectiveness, subject to applicable law and privacy settings.

We send promotional emails or messages where you have consented or where otherwise permitted by law. You can unsubscribe using the link in a marketing message or contact us. Opting out of marketing does not stop necessary order, delivery, security or customer service communications.

4 Sharing information for orders and services

We may share relevant personal information with Shopify, payment providers, shipping carriers, fulfilment suppliers, technology and support providers, and professional advisers where needed to operate our business or assist you.

Some products ship directly from fulfilment partners rather than from SORA GLOBAL. When relevant to your order, these arrangements may include Dropshipzone suppliers or suppliers connected through Shopify Collective. We may provide the relevant supplier and carrier with your name, delivery address, contact details, ordered items and delivery instructions so they can fulfil, track and support your order.

We aim to limit information shared for fulfilment to what is reasonably necessary. Supplier fulfilment does not change your point of contact for a purchase made from SORA GLOBAL.

Where advertising or analytics services are enabled, relevant providers may receive device, browsing or interaction information through cookies, pixels or integrations, subject to applicable consent requirements and settings.

We may disclose information where required or authorised by law, to address fraud or security concerns, or in connection with a proposed business transfer where lawful and subject to appropriate confidentiality arrangements.

5 Shopify and other providers

Shopify hosts our store and processes information to provide ecommerce services. Certain Shopify features, such as Shop or Shop Pay, may involve Shopify processing information for its own services under its privacy policies.

For details, visit Shopify’s Consumer Privacy Policy at https://www.shopify.com/legal/privacy/consumers and its Privacy Portal at https://privacy.shopify.com/.

Our use of Shopify does not mean that we routinely provide customer information to unrelated merchants. Information sharing depends on the services you use and integrations involved in your purchase.

6 Cookies and privacy settings

Cookies help support functions such as shopping carts, checkout, security and remembering preferences. Depending on enabled services, cookies and similar technologies may also support analytics and advertising.

You can manage cookies through your browser and any privacy controls available on our website. Blocking some cookies may affect store functionality. Where consent is required for particular tracking, we will seek it through appropriate controls.

7 Overseas processing

Shopify and other providers may store or process information outside Australia. Overseas suppliers may also receive delivery information if they fulfil a product you order. Relevant countries depend on the provider and fulfilment arrangements and may include Canada and the United States for Shopify services.

You can contact us for information about overseas recipients relevant to your order or the services we use. We take steps required by applicable law when handling overseas disclosures. This policy does not seek to waive your rights in relation to overseas handling of your information.

8 Security and retention

We take reasonable steps to protect personal information against misuse, loss, unauthorised access, modification and disclosure. No internet transmission or storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.

We retain information for as long as reasonably needed for the purposes described here, including fulfilment, support, accounting, legal obligations and dispute resolution. Retention periods vary by record type; we do not apply a blanket seven-year retention period to all personal information.

When information is no longer required, we take reasonable steps to delete or de-identify it, subject to applicable law and technical requirements such as backups. Where legally required, we will notify affected individuals and the relevant regulator of an eligible data breach.

9 Access correction and other requests

Contact soraglobalau@gmail.com to request access to personal information we hold about you, correction of inaccurate details, or deletion of information we no longer need. You can also ask us to update your marketing preferences.

We may reasonably verify your identity before acting on a request. Please do not send identity documents unless we explain why they are needed and how to provide them appropriately.

We will consider requests under applicable law and respond within a reasonable time. Some information may need to be retained for legal or legitimate operational reasons. If we cannot fulfil a request, we will explain the reason where permitted and any available complaint options.

Additional rights, such as portability, objection or restriction of processing, may apply where another jurisdiction’s privacy laws apply to our handling of your information. We will address those requests in accordance with the applicable law.

10 Children and young people

Our store is intended for a general audience and is not designed to solicit personal information from children. Children should involve a parent or guardian before providing information or making a purchase.

If you believe a child has provided personal information that should not have been collected, please contact us so we can investigate and take appropriate action.

11 External links

Our website may link to third-party websites or services. Their information handling is governed by their own policies. Review those policies before providing information through an external service.

12 Privacy complaints

If you have a concern, email soraglobalau@gmail.com with sufficient details for us to investigate. We will acknowledge your complaint and aim to provide a substantive response within 30 days. If more time is needed, we will explain why and provide an update.

If you are dissatisfied, you may contact the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner at https://www.oaic.gov.au/ or another relevant regulator. The OAIC’s ability to investigate depends on whether the Privacy Act applies to the business and the complaint. Nothing in this policy restricts your rights to seek assistance.

13 Policy updates and contact

We may update this policy to reflect changes to our services, providers or legal obligations. The current version will be published here with its updated date. Where required, we will provide additional notice or seek consent for material changes.
